Our story
Born from a phone call home
It started with a £100 transfer that cost £12 in fees and took three days to arrive. Our founder Amara had just moved to London and wanted to send money to his mother in Guinea. The experience was awful.
CrossPay was built to fix that. We brought together a team of engineers, payments specialists, and people who have personally felt the pain of expensive remittances. We set out to build something better — something we'd want to use ourselves.
Today we serve thousands of customers sending money from the UK to Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. We keep our fees honest, our rates competitive, and our transfers fast — because that's what our community deserves.
